FUNDA Afriski – The Ultimate High-Altitude Enduro & Adventure Challenge!

Set in the breathtaking mountains of Lesotho, FUNDA Afriski is a three-day Enduro and Adventure Challenge like no other! Riders will take on the FUNDA Passport Challenge, navigating marked Enduro loops with optional Bronze, Silver, and Gold Challenge sections, all counting towards an official challenge finish.

For the first time, we’re adding Adventure Bikes to the mix, offering riders of all skill levels an unforgettable journey through Lesotho’s rugged terrain.


Enduro Challenge

This is the ultimate test of skill, endurance, and determination! The Enduro Challenge features FUNDA-marked trails with GPS-based Challenge sections:

  • Funduro – A great entry-level challenge for those new to Enduro.
  • Bronze Challenge – A step up, testing riders with technical terrain but still manageable.
  • Silver Challenge – For experienced riders looking for a proper test of skill and endurance.
  • Gold Challenge – The toughest route, designed for top-tier riders ready to push their limits.

Event Schedule – Enduro

Thursday, 27 March – Evening Prologue

  • A 2–3 km prologue in and around Afriski, featuring ski slopes and exciting sections designed for maximum spectator entertainment.

Friday, 28 March – Challenge Enduro & Adventure Ride

  • Thursday, 27 March – Evening Prologue: A 2–3 km prologue around Afriski, showcasing ski slopes and thrilling sections for maximum spectator enjoyment.
  • Friday, 28 March – Challenge Enduro: 70–120 km of FUNDA-marked trails, including GPS-based Bronze, Silver, and Gold Challenge sections.
  • Saturday, 29 March – Challenge Enduro + Prize Giving: Another day of thrilling trails and the official prize-giving ceremony.

Adventure Challenge – Powered by ADA Training and Outdoor Centre

For riders who want to experience the thrill of Lesotho’s landscapes on an Adventure Bike, the FUNDA Adventure Challenge offers multiple skill levels:

  • Novice – Just getting started but eager to ride!
  • Medium – Confident riders building their skills.
  • Experienced – Ready to conquer the mountains!

Event Schedule – Adventure

Day 1 – Thursday, 27 March (Optional): Routes from Kestel to Afriski via scenic paths.

Day 2 – Friday, 28 March – "Day of the Rivers": Routes exploring Maloraneng and Mapholaneng.

Day 3 – Saturday, 29 March – "Valleys, Mountains & Katse Dam": Routes including Storm Mine and Motebong.

Day 4 – Sunday, 30 March: Departure at leisure.

Spectator & Family-Friendly Experience
