TUFF #5 - Serengeti Rodeo

TUFF #5 - Serengeti Rodeo

A Hard Enduro Like No Other!

If you thought TUFF #4 was a challenge, brace yourself—TUFF #5 is bigger, tougher, and packed with even more action! Set at an all-new venue, just 16km from Lanseria Airport, this event is designed to push riders to their limits while delivering an unforgettable experience for spectators.

A Format Like No Other

Inspired by the world-renowned Getzenrodeo, the Serengeti RODEO is a multi-lap Hard Enduro, featuring bunted and marked tracks tailored to different skill levels. Riders will first face a prologue to determine their starting positions in their respective races. The race they compete in is determined by the class they enter, not by qualifying results.

From there, competitors will be grouped into two main races:

  • Race 1 (TUFF) – For junior and intermediate-level riders.
  • Race 2 (TUFFER) – For more experienced and pro-level riders.
The top 30 finishers from Race 2 (TUFFER) will then advance to Race 3 (TUFFEST)—a brutal final race on the toughest terrain.

Age Groups & Classes

TUFF (Race 1) – Challenging but Doable

For riders who want a solid challenge without needing a survival kit.

Classes competing in Race 1:

  • Junior (Ages 10–13) – Up to 85cc 2-stroke & up to 110cc recreational 4-stroke
  • Funduro (Men & Ladies) – Open to all skill levels, for those who just want to have fun
  • Junior Pro (Ages 10–13) – More advanced young riders on 65cc & 85cc 2-stroke
Winners in each class will be determined by the fastest time in Race 1. (Could be a time or lap-based race. Still to be advised)

TUFFER (Race 2) – Be Careful What You Wish For

Things are getting serious—rougher terrain, tougher obstacles, and real competition.

Classes competing in Race 2:

  • High School (Ages 13–17) – Any capacity motorcycle, but bigger isn't always better!
  • Pro - Open (Ages 17+) – For those who think they have what it takes
  • Senior (Ages 36–45) – Any capacity motorcycle, proving the old boys still have it
  • Master (Ages 46–55) – Experience vs. youth—who will prevail?
  • Legends (Age 56+) – Still racing, still TUFF!
  • Ladies Open (Ages 14+) – For women ready to send it like the pros

TUFFEST (Race 3) – Daar k@k jy!

This is the ultimate afk@k challenge, reserved for the top 30 riders from Race 2 (TUFFER). If you make it here, prepare to suffer—this is where TUFF becomes TUFFEST. If you qualify for Race 3, you will need to compete in Race 3 to get your points for your class.

Final rankings:

If riders from a lower class (e.g., High School) qualify for Race 3 (TUFFEST), their finishing position in this race will determine their class standings. If one of them DNFs, they will be classified as second, while the other will take the class win.
